The best thing is that you will be exploring the underwater world of this island, which is the most sought-after destination when it comes to marine life.

We, at Dive Andaman, are offering a myriad of PADI courses and dives. You can choose from the following as per your wish and convenience. Whatever you choose, one thing is for sure–You are going to have the time of your life! • Scuba Diving for Non-Swimmers 

Scuba diving is for everyone, whether you know swimming or not. If you are a newbie, it’s okay to not know swimming. The truth is you are not required to swim while scuba diving. All you need is to glide smoothly without moving your hands. You use fins to move through the water. We, at Dive Andaman, make it possible for non-swimmers so that they can also feel the magical experience of being a part of the rich marine life of Havelock Island, even if it is for some time only. The entire experience including diving, commuting, etc. will be of three hours in duration. You will be completely surrounded by water and look at incredible fish right in front of you without knowing swimming. Dive Andaman, a 5-star PADI center, is there with you at every step when you have finally decided to take the leap of faith.

Important things to keep in mind

• One should be above ten years to perform these activities. The charges are the same for everyone.
• Children aged 10-14 years must be accompanied by an adult. They will not be allowed to go for any dive or course on their own.

• Pool DSD Confined Practice–Rs. 2000

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course introduces you to the basics of diving. A short try-diving experience for adults and children aged over ten years, this dive will be conducted in the swimming pool at Havelock Island Beach Resort (HIBR)–a beachfront property located on Govind Nagar Beach. It has a huge pool that is specially designed for carrying out pool DSD confined practice sessions. The entire experience will be of around three hours in duration wherein our instructor will teach you the basics of scuba diving. Except for Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide your pick-up and drop-off facility.

• PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program (Boat)–Rs. 6500

The PADI DSD Program is one of the most popular courses among non-swimmers. This will be your boat dive, which means that you will be taken to the diving location via a boat. The top locations for this program are as follows:

• Red Pillar- A shallow reef that is part of the continuous fringing reef running along the north-eastern coast of Havelock Island
• Lighthouse- If you want to witness the perfect balance of vibrant fish and soft & hard corals, then this is your one-stop destination.
• Tribe Gate- A small submerged hill surrounded by a bed of sand on all sides
• Nemo Reef- A shore entry site having shallow water that opens into a swimming pool-like setup. It has white sand and a baby reef.

Your dive location will depend on weather conditions as well as water current.   

Before the dive, there will be a pool session also for around 45 minutes. The entire activity will take nearly three hours. Except for Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide you pick-up and drop-off facility. And if you are coming on your own, then you have to reach Havelock Island Beach Resort on Govind Nagar Beach.

• PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program (Shore)–Rs. 4500

One of the top dive sites when it comes to shore diving, we conduct this PADI DSD program at Nemo Reef. It is the best site in Havelock Island for beginners, who are interested in exploring the underwater world and learning scuba diving. Before the dive, there will be a pool session also for around 45 minutes. The entire activity will take nearly three hours. We will provide you pick-up and drop-off facility as well. But if you are staying at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa or Barefoot, then you have to commute on your own and will have to reach Havelock Island Beach Resort located on Govind Nagar Beach.

• Guided Snorkelling–Rs. 2500

The technicolour scenery of the coral reefs in the Andaman Islands is something extraordinary. You are sure to be blown away by its splendour. It has a rich marine life and the corals here are amazingly colourful and vibrant. There is a lot to see under the water and snorkelling is a great way to do that. We offer guided snorkelling sessions at Nemo Reef, which is counted among the top sites for snorkelling in Havelock Island. Snorkelling is an ideal option for those who want to get a glimpse of the marine world but don’t want to feel the heaviness of the scuba gear. The duration of the entire activity is around three hours. You will reaching Havelock Island Beach Resort at Govind Nagar Beach first for this activity. We provide pick-up and drop-off facility as well (except for guests staying at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot).

• Guided Snorkelling from boat–Rs. 4000

Do you know what’s better than guided snorkelling? The answer is guided snorkelling via boat diving. The activity will take place in Nemo Reef where you will be jumping in the water from a boat. It is even more exhilarating and fun! This dive site is popular for its rich marine life. Moreover, it is perfect for non-swimmers due to its favourable water conditions. The entire activity will take around three hours to complete. Except for Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide pick-up and drop-off facility. And if you are coming on your own, then you have to reach Havelock Island Beach Resort on Govind Nagar Beach. first.

• Scuba Diving for beginners Swimmers 

If you are new to swimming and know a little bit about the basics, then you are going to enjoy scuba diving even more. You will not stress about drowning (like most first-timers). You will have a fair idea about balancing your body under the water. That’s why you will be able to focus more on spotting the incredible marine creatures rather than maintaining your balance under the water. There are a number of amazing scuba diving spots in the Andaman Islands that are perfect for beginners as well as experts. Some of them are Red Pillar, Nemo Reef, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, etc. For proceeding to the assisted dive, you will be undergoing a brief training session with a PADI instructor in waist-deep water wearing your scuba gear. You will be learning how to breathe underwater along with a couple of basic skills. Go for any of the below-mentioned diving packages if you want to explore a colourful world and life hidden below the ocean surface.

A sought-after PADI course among beginners, the Scuba Diver Course in Havelock Island by Dive Andaman is very popular. We take you to the best dive sites such as Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, or Nemo Reef. You will be doing 2 dives with your instructor, who will accompany you at all times under the water so that you can enjoy without feeling nervous. You will be under the water for 50 minutes or when you are left with 50 bar in the tank, whatever happens first. One day is kept for the classroom session where the theory part of scuba diving is covered. The entire activity will be for around three hours.

• PADI Open Water Course–Rs. 28,000

If you have decided to pursue scuba diving seriously and are willing to explore the marine world like a pro someday, then the PADI Open Water course is highly recommended for you. One should be at least ten years old to take this course. During this course, you will be taught how to manage your buoyancy, assemble and use scuba gear, and be a confident and skilled diver. The dive sites will be Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, or Nemo Reef, depending on the water currents and weather conditions on the day of your dive. In total, you will be doing four dives. Each dive will be of 50 minutes or until you have at least 50 bar left in the tank, whatever happens first.

• PADI Open Water Course (Referral Diver)–Rs. 16,000

Covering all the sessions of knowledge development and the confined water sessions, this course can be completed between two to three days. You can finish watching the PADI videos in the comfort of your home in nearly five hours. After that, you will be required to fill in the knowledge reviews before coming in for your classroom session (half day). Depending on the weather conditions, the dive sites will be Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, or Nemo Reef. You will be doing a total of two dives. Each dive will be of 50 minutes or until you have at least 50 bar left in the tank, whatever happens first.

• PADI Advanced Open Water Course–Rs. 25,000

Taking the PADI Advanced Water Diver course means advancing your scuba diving skills. You will be practising navigation and buoyancy, diving deep, and making three speciality dives of your choice (like a speciality sampler platter). The course will include a total of five dives– a deep dive below 18 meters/60 feet, a navigation dive, and three speciality dives. You will gain experience, build confidence, and enhance your diving abilities. The top locations for this program are as follows:

• PADI Emergency First Aid  Responder Course–Rs. 10,000

A PADI beginner program, the PADI Emergency First Aid  Responder course trains you for critical moments. It teaches you what you have to do between when a life-threatening emergency occurs and when emergency medical services arrive. You will learn how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), provide first aid for easing pain, assess various injuries and illnesses, and practise bandaging and splinting. The duration of self-study will be 2-4 hours and the entire course will be spread across 1-2 days. There will be a classroom session as well. Except for Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide you pick-up and drop-off facility. Depending on the weather conditions, the dive sites will be Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, or Nemo Reef.

• PADI Rescue Course–Rs. 22,000

In the PADI Rescue Diver course, you will learn how to think like a rescue diver via home study and skill practice with an instructor. PADI courses are performance-based and flexible. You will be practising basic rescue skills and then effectively applying them in open water. After taking the course, you will unlock a whole new level of scuba diving. You will learn to identify and fix small issues before they become huge problems. In addition to that, you will also gain a lot of confidence and enjoy to the fullest while scuba diving. Rescue Diver is the most sought-after course among countless scuba divers. You will be doing two dives at any of these sites–Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, or Nemo Reef. Each dive will be of 50 minutes or until you have at least 50 bar left in the tank, whatever happens first. Before that, there will be a pool session at Havelock Island Beach Resort as well.

• PADI Dive  Master Course–Rs. 70,000

The PADI Dive  Master course lets you reach for the top of scuba diving so that you can become the best of the best in this enthralling water sport. If you have this certification, then it will denote superior achievement and proficiency in dive skills, experience, and underwater activities. It comprises specialised training for a wide variety of activities and thus, achieving this fun and intensely educative adventure. In order to reach this high level in the PADI system of diver education, the experienced and knowledgeable staff of Dive India will assist you completely. Along with your dives at Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Tribe Gate, or Nemo Reef, there will be pool sessions at Havelock Island Beach Resort as well. This course will include dives till your course is processed.

• Fun Dives 

Ranging from one fun dive to 12, with Dive Andaman, you are sure to get the best underwater experience ever. These dives are for certified divers. The dive sites include the following:

• Whitehouse Rock– a hill-like formation emerging from a sandy bottom at a depth of over 30 meters
• MV Mars–the wreck of a small wooden local cargo ship

If you have decided to do single dive, then we will make sure that you have a memorable time under the water. We will be taking you to Johnny’s, Jackson’s, or Dixon’s depending on the water currents. Each dive will be of five hours overall. This will include commuting time and resting time as well. You will be under the water for around 50 minutes or if left with 50 bar in your tank, whatever occurs first. The dive will cost Rs. 8,000. Except for Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide you pick-up and drop-off facility.

• 2 Dives

Scuba diving is one of the most popular water activities in the world. In India, the Andaman Islands are known for having the best diving spots. Depending on the water currents, you will be going for two dives at any of these sites–Johnny’s, Jackson’s, Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Dixon’s, etc. The entire experience will be of around five hours in duration wherein our instructor will be briefing you on the basics of scuba diving as well. Except for Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide you pick-up and drop-off facility. Our 5-star PADI facility will take care of all your requirements to ensure that you have a wonderful dive.  

• 4 Dives 

In Havelock Island, you can indulge yourself in the fascinating activity of scuba diving and make your trip unforgettable. Under this package, you will be doing four dives at any of these sites–Red Pillar, Lighthouse, Johnny’s, Jackson’s, Dixon’s, Tribe Gate, Nemo Reef, etc. Each dive will be of 50 minutes or until you have at least 50 bar left in the tank, whatever happens first. Complete assistance will be provided by our PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)-certified scuba instructors. Once you reach the dive site, you will be required to wear the proper equipment for scuba diving and listen to all the instructions carefully before embarking on your underwater experience.

• 6 Dives 

The Andaman Islands is the one-stop destination in India for witnessing the underwater world at its bet. Under this package you will be going for a total of six dives at the best diving spots across the Andamans. The total experience will be of around five hours that will include diving, commuting, resting, etc. Some of the dive sites are as follows:

There are different types of wrecks and while taking the PADI Wreck Diver course, you will be taught how you can explore various types of wrecks by investigating their layout, history, and hazards. You will also practise specialized wreck diving skills. Wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Whether lost due to an accident or purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, wrecks have a unique appeal for sure. It is fascinating to explore ships, aeroplanes, and cars. They usually teem with aquatic life. A chance of discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying on something other divers have missed is offered by each wreck.

• Drift Dive Speciality–Rs.16,000 for 1 dive 

Drift diving is all about gliding with currents, feeling the rush of flying underwater, and watching fish moving up the current effortlessly. There will be one dive in this course and the duration of the entire experience will be around three hours. You will be exposing yourself to the techniques and procedures for drift diving. During the class discussions and one dive, you will learn the following:

• Key differences between the terrestrial and aquatic worlds
• Major aquatic life groupings, interactions and information that dispels myths
• Responsible interactions with aquatic life

• Underwater Navigation Speciality–Rs. 14000 for 1 dive 

Want to become the scuba diver who leads the dive? Then go for the PADI Underwater Navigation Speciality course as will fine-tune your observation skills. It will also teach you to more accurately use your compass underwater. If you love big rewards attached to challenges, then this diving course is perfect for you. Underwater Navigation Speciality is quite sought-after among countless scuba divers. Your dive will be of 50 minutes or until you have at least 50 bar left in the tank, whatever happens first. Except for guests coming from Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and Barefoot, we will provide pick-up and drop-off facility as well.

• Underwater Photography Speciality–Rs. 19000 for 2 dives

Through trial and error, you can spend hours learning underwater photography, or you can simply take a shortcut! In this course, you will be taught professional tricks and tips for taking great photos underwater. You will also learn the best ways to capture videos with a GoPro or other action camera. Photography is an art, especially when it is done under water. With this course, you will get tips from the experts and thus, the learning curve will be shortened. You will also avoid beginner mistakes. You will learn a lot of things such as using underwater photography lights (strobes), avoiding backscatter, enhancing colour, and a lot more.

• Peak Performance Buoyancy  Speciality–Rs. 14,000 for 1 dive

If you want to become a confident and relaxed scuba diver, then buoyancy control is very important. If you are able to balance yourself perfectly, then you can float effortlessly, use air more efficiently, and deftly approach skittish marine life in order to get a closer look. You must have seen them underwater vis documentaries or something. How effortlessly they glide, use less air and ascend/descend, and hover so smoothly! They are able to observe marine life more easily and also without disturbing the surroundings. You can achieve this too by taking the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course. It will improve your buoyancy skills and elevate them to the next level as well.

• Night Dive speciality–Rs. 15000 for 1 dive 

You will learn underwater navigation at night and how to find entry and exit points in the dark. Along with giving night dive tips, our PADI instructor will teach you how to avoid disorientation and stay in contact with your buddy. Going below the surface at night seems mysterious as well as alluring! You may have scuba dived many times before, but diving at night means exploring a whole new world. Watching the marine world come to life under the glow of your dive light is definitely an extraordinary experience. The entire scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge.

• Project AWARE Speciality–Rs. 6000

A classroom session, Project AWARE Specialist unites water enthusiasts and scuba divers to make a difference for ocean protection every time they dive. There will be classroom workshops in which you will: 

• be introduced to the AWARE movement
• understand the tips for divers to protect the ocean planet
• develop an action plan for how you can personally make a difference

This PADI speciality course is an introduction to the global AWARE movement for ocean protection. It is a dry, ‘fins off’ course that is perfect for divers as well as non-divers to gain an insight into how our decisions above and below the surface affect our planet.

• Deep Dive Speciality–Rs. 12,000 for 1 dive

There are special safety considerations when you dive below the depth of 18 metres/60 feet. If you want to learn more about it and go deeper to explore the marine world, then your PADI instructor will help you in gaining the skills and confidence required for going to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet. By taking the PADI Deep Diver course, you will learn how to plan deep dives, manage gas supply, and how to identify and manage narcosis. You will know how to manage your gas supply, recognize your personal limits, identify and deal with narcosis, etc. You will also be taught buddy contact procedures, safety considerations, and buoyancy control at depth.

• Boat Dive Speciality–Rs. 10,000 for 1 dive 

Under this PADI speciality course, there will be one dive from a boat and you will learn how to enter and exit the water along with properly stowing your gear. The instructor will also teach you about safety procedures and local boat diving etiquette. The PADI Boat Diver course is perfect for those who are new to boat diving or are interested in learning more about diving from different types of boats. There will be one dive with an instructor in which you will learn nautical terminology and boat diving etiquette. You may also practice using lines and/or deploying a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB).

• O2 Provider Speciality–Rs. 10,000

This will be a classroom session in which you will be taught how to be ready to help your fellow diver in case a need arises. To be the best diving buddy, you have to be prepared at all times, especially when there is an emergency. You will learn to:

• Recognize diving illnesses treatable by emergency oxygen
• Properly set up equipment
• Administer emergency oxygen

Though this course is suited for divers, there are no prerequisites and doesn’t include dives. Thus, those who are around divers such as boat crew, non-diving buddies, lifeguards, and shore staff can also take this course.
