The PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course introduces you to the basics of diving. A short try-diving experience for adults and children aged over ten years, this dive will be conducted in the swimming pool at Havelock Island Beach Resort (HIBR)–a beachfront property located on Govind Nagar Beach. It has a huge pool that is specially designed for carrying out pool DSD confined practice sessions. The entire experience will be of around three hours in duration wherein our instructor will teach you the basics of scuba diving. This PADI speciality course is an introduction to the global AWARE movement for ocean protection. It is a dry, ‘fins off’ course that is perfect for divers as well as non-divers to gain an insight into how our decisions above and below the surface affect our planet.
There are special safety considerations when you dive below the depth of 18 metres/60 feet. If you want to learn more about it and go deeper to explore the marine world, then your PADI instructor will help you in gaining the skills and confidence required for going to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet. By taking the PADI Deep Diver course, you will learn how to plan deep dives, manage gas supply, and how to identify and manage narcosis. You will know how to manage your gas supply, recognize your personal limits, identify and deal with narcosis, etc. You will also be taught buddy contact procedures, safety considerations, and buoyancy control at depth.
